Event goal: Raise $400,000 to fight pancreatic cancer and have 2,000 event attendees to help spread awareness about the disease
The first PurpleStride Atlanta was held in 2006 at Piedmont Park with 240 participants, 7 of which were survivors. This year (2018) will be the 12th PurpleStride Atlanta and we are anticipating 2,000 participants, 45 of which will be survivors.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Founded in 1999, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is dedicated to fighting the world’s toughest cancer. In our urgent mission to save lives, we attack pancreatic cancer on all fronts: research, clinical initiatives, patient services and advocacy. Our effort is amplified by a nationwide network of grassroots support. We are determined to improve patient outcomes today and to double survival by 2020.
