The Atlanta Chapter of the Links, Inc. is pleased to present “Mardi Gras Under the Sea: A Community Partnership Awards Soiree,” This fundraising event will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m., in the Oceans Ballroom, at the Georgia Aquarium. The program will highlight the recipients of the organization’s 2019 Community Partners Awards. Seven charitable organizations are receiving a total of $85,000 from the Atlanta Chapter. Established in 1946, The Links, Inc. is an international, non-profit organization of more than 16,000 accomplished African-American women in 288 chapters in the U.S. and abroad. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations. The women support initiatives in five areas or Facets: National Trends and Services, The Arts, International Trends and Services, Health and Human Services, and Services to Youth. The Links’ members regularly contribute more than one million documented service hours in their respective communities annually. The Atlanta Chapter of The Links, Inc. is the first Links Chapter in Georgia. Chartered in 1953, it is currently comprised of 74 members.
